Saturday Fun

Bath Time.
Snuggles with Mae.

Quinn on Turkey Day - Jabber Mouth

Naps with Layla

The kids escaped the Thanksgiving Day hustle and took a quick snuggle.

I love my new niece.

Quinn's First Thanksgiving

2008 Thanksgiving was a fun day. We had only a small group, but enough food to feed an army -
Paul, Chona, Layla, Mom, Dad, Adam, Quinn and Jamie.

Quinn watched our progress.

Took a short nap. Don't you just want to curl up with him? This is his favorite blanket. Whenever we wrap him in it, he falls fast asleep.

Quinn ate the decorations.

Funny face.

Setting up the night before. Quinn was not a happy camper!

Quinn Meets His Cousin - Layla

What a handful. Quinn loves his uncle Paul.

Paul, Chona and Baby Layla snuggle up.
Quinn meets Layla for the very first time.
What a difference 3 months makes - even more so, when you're born a preemie.
"Listen up... I'll teach you what I know."

Quinn is Growing SO Fast...

He likes to sit up. Straight up.

He tries to do push ups.

He's eating solid foods - well, mostly wearing.

He's sort of standing on his own.

He sits in his highchair that Grandma and Grandpa Dobrowolski gifted him.

Just another ordinary flamin' dessert...

At the Dobrowolski's, desserts go wild as they begin the 2009 tradition of theming meals around the 24 tv series. Shown above is the African Redemtion Wild Fire. Deliciouso!

Happy Helpers in the Kitchen

Maggie Mae - our little detailer gladly assists.

Quinn trying to eat applesauce. He didn't get very much in his mouth, so he required some help.

Bentley sneaking a peak under the child gate.
While cooking dinner, Adam and I had quite the audience (and help). We were watching the O'Donnell dogs, so with the four pooches and one happy boy overseeing our progress, we had a very fun evening.

Quinn Gets Goofy

On Saturday, everything was going Quinn's way. He played, laughed, talked and smiled all day. It was a wonderful day.

Scout Found

As I filled up my coffee cup, a lady came to me and told me that there was a stray pup in the parking lot of work. I quickly ran upstairs to snatch up my leash. When I first approached him he was scared and timid. But as I crouched down to his level and clapped my hands, he came a running. Not wanting him to go to a shelter, I contacted the local rescue group for German Shepherds. When I went to meet Paula, she informed me that my sweet little 'Scout' (that's what I named him) was not even close to being a German Shepherd, but was a strange mix of hound. Oops. She was happy to take him anyway. Who wouldn't love this goofy lookin' creature? Yes, his ear is always like that. :) I think he's perfect in every way.

First Full Day of Day Care - With Grandma

On Monday, Jamie had to go back to work and leave this bundle of sunshine behind. Luckily, Quinn got to hang out with Grandma on his first couple of days. He gets to stay at home with her on Mondays and Tuesdays and goes to Kimberly's the rest of the week, where he gets to be with a bunch of fun kiddos. He watches and learns from them - hopefully no bad habits. I'm hoping that with each day it will get easier. After spending so much quality time with him in his first months of life, this has been a difficult adjustment for me.

Horsing Around

Quinn's new game - playing horsey on a crossed bouncing leg. He thinks it's the best game ever!

Quinn's Favorite Toys!

Quinn's favorite past times include playing with his red dog rattle and big blue octopus that has horns for tenticles. He's in Heaven in this picture.

Little Pumpkin

Quinn's first Halloween - just gourding around.

Crazy Pumpkins at the Marr's

Every year, the Dobrowolski's and the Marr's join forces and create what they term "Marrowski Adventures". Pumpkin carving is one of our annual events - one that we all look forward to.

Snuggle Time

Bentley loves Quinn. Here they are snuggling on a Sunday Morning with Mom.

What a Ham!

Like father, like son. (Quinn in his new preppy sweater - Thank you grandma Linda!)

Walking on Water.

Each Summer, the dam lets the water from the lake drain allowing for a much larger back yard at the O'Donnell cabin. Here we are taking a short break from our long walk to 'the island'.

Waking Up on the Right Side of the Bed.

Quinn is now sleeping in his room and loves 'talking' to the circling chickens that sing him to sleep each night.

Maggie Mae Loves her new friend!

Glow Baby

Quinn had to lay on a magic light pad for a few days after he came home to cure his jaundice. Luckily, his blue bouncer kept this pad in the perfect place. Even after he was cured, Quinn continued to sleep in this soft nest for about a month. Adam and I slept on the sofa right next to him all this time, making it easy to reach him for his feedings and diaper changes all throughout the nights.

Quinn at the Lovejoy Wedding

A couple weeks old and already the life of the party.
