I had a really interesting evening last night. Picked up Quinny from daycare and he played all day - no naps. So when he got in the car he sacked out. When I pulled into the driveway at home he was still so peaceful, that I didn't want to disturb him. So I pulled out a magazine and called Cami for a chat. After a while (10 - 15 minutes) I decided that I had better get inside to tend to the doggies. I left the ignition on to keep the car cool while I walked across the street to get the mail (I do this every single day). I came back to the running, parked car and leaned in to turn off the ignition and as soon as it was in the off position, the car started to roll backwards. I clung to the car door and threw half of my body under the steering wheel to hit the brake, but it didn't work. The ebrake didn't either. At that moment I looked up (still clinging to the door and being drug down the driveway into the street and one of my neighbors was driving and was upset that I was going to pull in front of him - He flipped me the bird and continued to go behind my moving car - screeching. He barely made it and we continued across the street and bounced off the mailboxes. Then the neighbor slowed down for a minute and then just sped off. The nerve!
I then got into the driver seat and put the car into drive and pulled it back into the driveway, set the e brake and had a good cry. Every muscle in my body hurts today and I've got some pretty good battle wounds. Quinn did not wake up and Cami was with me through the whole experience. I had Adam drive the deathtrap to work today for some diagnostics. That said, the Tahoe doesn't even have a scratch, but the mailbox I hit is pretty much destroyed. I'm stopping off at Home Depot today to purchase a new one for our neighbor. Hoping for a less exciting day today.

Happy 4th of July Weekend
I took a long weekend and spent some special time with my Quinn. We worked and played really hard. We worked at the store and went for several swims in the water off the boat and off the shore. Adam finally caught up with me at the big 33 years of age. We enjoyed a mellow family dinner with one GREAT cake.
Missed the fireworks this year, but enjoyed some quality time with a sleeping Quinny, talking Layla and freaked out dogs in the basement. I wouldn't have changed a thing.
Quinn is now 11 months old. Only one more month until he's one. We're in the process of planning his buck-a-roo party now.
