Gobble Gobble

Wow, what a Thanksgiving! Family, food and toddlers were bountiful. Quinn did not take a nap and was incredibly cranky and not his normal happy go lucky self. I am actually looking forward to a more restful and relaxed weekend. I wonder if I'll make it out of my pjs?

I am thankful for my family who brings joy and laughter to every single day. I love you guys.

French Toast

Last Sunday we made FRENCH TOAST! Quinn's new favorite breakfast. Dip it in peanut butter and maple syrup... mmm mmm

Feel Better Great Grandma Marty!

Grandma is in the hospital and we are sending her our best wishes for a speedy recovery. We also wish for some GREAT daytime tv to enjoy while she's there... definately no Ellen though. Just tons of great prizes on the Price in Right and Wheel of Fortune.

Happy Halloween!

Lots of changes in the Dobrowolski's lives lately. The company that Adam was at last downsized and let him go. Scary, yes... but it allowed us to have something that we haven't been able to enjoy for a really long time - being together. For the last two weekends we've been a real family again. We hit up the pumpkin patch, have gone for Sunday strolls and decked the halls for Halloween. This entire experience has taught us what is really important. And money isn't.

We're searching for our next great adventure and will let you know when we figure it out. Hope this note finds you all well.

Quinn's Amazing Day... Cowboy up!

Tonight was perfect. We took Quinn out to Dianne's stable where we met Flashy and about 20 other amazing horses. Quinn was nervous for about 5 seconds and then fell in love with the stable and all of the beings within it. He got to meet a miniature horse and rode Flashy around the stable two times. I don't think I've ever seen him more excited. Afterwards, while loading him into the car, he found a blueberry bush filled with ripe berries. He helped himself saying "YUM"! Then we headed over to the raspberry fields and picked some more berries. It was such a fun night. I want a replay.

Quinn's Awesome Birthday

This year we toned it down quite a bit. A cake, a few family members and a ton of cars rounded out the perfect two year old birthday. Even with a much more mellow day planned, Quinn was pretty over-whelmed. Until the sugar kicked in that is...

Happy 4th of July!

4th of July was spent at the O'Donnell cabin. We kept Quinn up to see the fireworks. He made it through the first big boom and then quickly snuggled into my sweatshirt and fell into a deep slumber... even through the grand finale. He missed a great show, but made my 4th specatacular. So fun sharing these traditions with him.

Watermelon

Quinn loves watermelon.

Almost two...

Can you believe it?! Our baby is no longer a baby.

He loves his shake-n-go cars. "Ready, set, GO!" We hear those words a lot and have to watch our step as at any given time there are about 20 various cars lining the hallway, sofa, beds - you name it.

He's in the 'monkey see, monkey do' stage and copies everything we do.
"Go potty Mae." I caught him saying tonight when he helped me let the dogs out.

Quinn still loves Disney Cars. It's his favorite movie and anything depicting those characters are his favorite as well. On every trip in the car he points out Lightning, Sally and Mater as cars pass by on our route.

He loves helping me with the baking. He works the mixer and likes to put it on the high speed. He helped me tonight when I made Adam's birthday cake and I caught him double dipping the spoon in the batter time and time again and then giving it a healthy sized lick. I'm not sure what time he'll go down tonight, but counting on it being a little later than usual. ;)

Quinn visits SD

Thanks to all the family and friends who made our visit so very special. I'm happy that Quinn got the chance to meet you and spend time with you all. It really means a lot to me that he get to know the wonderful people that I was brought up among. Here are just some of the wonderful memories that we'll take from this trip.

Missed a holiday...

I was going through my files and realized I missed a holiday. Here are some pictures of Christmas 2009.

Springtime brings flowers & bees

The sun is shining, the grass continually needs mowed, the flowers are in full gorgeous bloom and as Quinn found out the hard way... the bees are buzzing. First bee sting, right on the eyelid. Ouch!
